It features a built-in 181-channel tuner for standard TV telecasts, and it can display high definition telecasts with an optional set-top box (compatible with 480i, 480p, 720p, and 1080i). JVC's exclusive D.I.S.T. (Digital Image Scaling Technology) displays all signals at 770p through the use of exclusive algorithm technology. Jagged lines inherent in the original source are smoothed and vertical resolution enhanced.
The LT32X575 has a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, for watching movies in their intended format. It also offers a 16 ms (millisecond) response time, 170-degree viewing angle, brightness rating of 500 cd/m2 (candela per square meter), and a 500:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
JVC's HD DSD (Digital Super Detail) edge enhancement is active on still, fast and slow motion areas of the picture for crisp, defined edges. JVC further strengthens the set by adding Dynamic Gamma Control Circuitry and such home theater features such as TheaterPro 6500K Color Temperature, Digital Noise Clear Circuitry, an Interactive Plug-in menu, XDS ID display, and Natural Cinema 3-2 pull down with on/off capability for all telecine sources.
It offers built-in stereo speakers on either side of the screen that produce a total of 10 watts of power (20 watts per channel). An HDMI compatible input with HDCP (High Definition Content Protection) offers an uncompressed solution to the transmission and display of high definition video and audio content.
